Winter crochet

I just wanted to thank all my customers who bought crocheted flowers from me.  I sold 22 flowers in total - thank you so much.

But before I finish with winter completely there are a few things to more things to crochet.  

This year the teachers at school will be receiving a little parcel of crochet goodies.  Mug cosies, apple jackets and soap cosies.  There will be more of the apple jackets and soap cosies to come - so watch this space.

I've also made some gorgeous little shoes for my beautiful niece,  I hope she likes them.  I've just received an order for more shoes and a matching hat - so there may be more shoes to come.

Finally - I have to admit that I bought these boot toppers from a well known high street store - but I think I might have to make some!

Following the success of my poppies I've been busy making more flowers to sell.

Poppies!

This year's poppies are bigger and better than ever.  I've made a few of these and have had lots of positive comments.  I have even submitted it to the Mollie Makes Facebook page in the hope that they will feature it on their blog at the end of the week  Fingers crossed.

I'm planning on making some of these in different colours to sell as corsages.  They quite big (about 5 inches across) and really make a statement.

I'm back!

Totally inspired and desperate to make some things to sell - I'm back!  What this space.

Well with the sun out this weekend I decided to put the greenhouse up.  This is a replacement greenhouse - as the last one was smashed by snow falling from the roof.  I know it's a bit early but I'm so looking forward to sowing some seeds.

Just found this wonderful tutorial for pompoms - I so have to make some.  Hang on your tshirts family members!

Rainbow

Finally I've managed to get something made that I'm going to sell.  Although  - I have to say that I'm quite reluctant to let this one go.



I've got a bit of a thing about rainbow colours at the moment - especially when combined with crochet!

The Urge to Sew

Despite being hooked on crochet - this fabric combination has given me the urge to sew!

Just waiting for spring and I think I might make a dress from this.

Scarf 2

Last night I finished my scarf number 2.  I'm really pleased with it and have plans for some wrist warmers to match.

I am desperate to start a new project but Lucy at Attic 24 is about to reveal a new yarn.  So I'll just have to wait a bit longer.

Lucy has been a major inspiration for me and I'm thinking of making a 'Sweet Flower Granny' blanket just like this one.
   

Having said that - I came across this pattern for a Heart Granny from Lilly Stitches which I'm also finding very tempting.   

In the meantime, I must get on with the chores and I have some yummy brownies I just have to make - thanks to Lorraine Pascale and her wonderful new series Baking Made Easy.

2011 - New Year - New Start

So here we are in a new year - and yet another attempt to keep my blog up to date. The children have been back to school for a day and a half and things are slowing getting back to normal.

Feeling quite chuffed with myself as the ironing is up to date (a big achievement!) and I made soup and some banana scones this morning.

My new years resolutions are:

• Waste Not...Want Not. I'm determined to stop throwing food away and not to waste money on things I could make myself.
• much less diet coke!
• more walking
• more sewing and crochet
• there are more.....

I have been crocheting like mad over the holiday. So pleased with my rainbow blanket. But the question is should I sell it....give it away....or keep it!
